MURPHYSBORO – The Jackson County Health Department will hold a COVID-19 vaccination clinic at the Carbondale Civic Center on Friday, Nov. 19 & Saturday, Nov. 20 for the sole purpose of administering booster doses of Moderna.
Vaccination hours each day are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Appointments are required and can easily be made online at www.jchdonline.org (click on scheduling link, then Moderna booster clinic) or by calling 618-684-3143. Vaccination cards should be brought to the vaccination appointment.
In addition to the clinic JCHD continues to provide COVID-19 and flu vaccinations (including high-dose flu for those age 65+) Monday through Friday at the health department in Murphysboro. All COVID-19 vaccines, including Pfizer for 5-11 year olds, are available weekdays at the health department. No fees are collected and no insurance information is needed for COVID-19 vaccines from Jackson County Health Department, but insurance cards are needed when seeking a flu shot. Vaccinations from the Jackson County Health Department are available to all eligible persons, regardless of county of residency.
In addition, people may also locate other vaccine providers at www.vaccines.gov to help meet their COVID-19 vaccination needs.
