HCHD to Hold COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic Wednesday in McLeansboro

MCLEANSBORO – The Hamilton County Health Department will have a drive-thru vaccination clinic for the following group of prioritized Phase 1b individuals Wednesday from 9 a.m. to noon at the McLeansboro Fire Department on South Marshall in McLeansboro.

This group includes first responders, K-12 education workers, food and agriculture, manufacturing, corrections workers and inmates, USPS workers, public transit workers, grocery store workers and staff at shelters and day cares.

Officials ask that you don’t go to the fire department first. You must go to the McLeansboro High School gravel parking lot by the tennis courts first for lineup. Eligible people to be vaccinated must be in the car at the time of lineup since vaccine is limited and accounted for. Cars with no one in them will not be considered and will be towed!

The clinic will be conducted on a firstcome, first-serve basis and is for Hamilton County residents only. Bring a work ID and/or driver’s license with you to verify eligibility, along with your insurance cards if applicable.

To save time at the drive-through clinic, go to the health department’s website located at to download and fill out the “COVID-19 Vaccine Consent Form – Pfizer & Moderna” located towards the bottom of the home page.

Please note that the health department will not be keeping a list of names as their clinics will be first come first serve. As long as the health department receives weekly shipments of vaccine, it will conduct the first come, first serve drive-thru clinics on Wednesdays.

Follow the Hamilton County Health Department’s Facebook page and local media for days and times of upcoming additional vaccination clinics.
