Hamilton County Health Dept. Holding Drive-thru Vaccination Clinic for Phase 1b Workers Thursday

MCLEANSBORO – The Hamilton County Health Department will have a drive-thru vaccination clinic for those in Phase 1b Thursday from 9 a.m. to Noon at the McLeansboro Fire Department on South Marshall in McLeansboro.

This clinic is for those age 65 and older who live in Hamilton County and work in Education (Congregate Child Care, Pre-K through 12th grade). This includes teachers, principals, student support, student aids and day care workers.

You should not go to the McLeansboro Fire Department first. You must  go to the McLeansboro High School gravel parking lot by the tennis courts first for lineup. Eligible people to be vaccinated must be in the car at the time of lineup since vaccine is limited and accounted for. Cars with no one in them will not be considered and will be towed.

The clinic will be conducted on a first-come, first-serve basis. Bring a work ID and/or driver’s license with you to verify eligibility, along with your insurance cards if applicable.

To save time at the drive-through clinic, go to the health department’s website located at to download and fill out the “COVID-19 Vaccine Consent Form – Pfizer & Moderna” located towards the bottom of our home page.

Please note that the health department will not be keeping a list of names as clinics will be first come, first serve. As long as the health department receives weekly shipments of vaccine, it will conduct the first come, first serve drive-thru clinics on Wednesdays.

Follow the Hamilton County Health Department’s Facebook page and local media for days and times of upcoming additional vaccination clinics.
