Friends of Carbondale Dog Parks to Receive Grant for Frost-free Drinking Fountains for Dogs at New Dog Park

CARBONDALE – The Friends of Carbondale Dog Parks will be presented with a grant check this afternoon at 2 at Parrish Park in Carbondale. It’s located at 2500 West Sunset Drive.

Ron Deedrick, Local Government Affairs Director representing the Egyptian Board of Realtors, will present a check for $5,000 to Jane Adams, President of Friends of Carbondale Dog Parks.

These funds will be used for frost-free drinking fountains for dogs. The fountains are expected to be delivered in April and installed later this summer by the Carbondale Public Works Department.

With Illinois Tier 4 mitigations in place, we will be adhering to a 50 person limit for the participants leaving their cars.

Friends of Carbondale Dog Parks is a local non-profit 501(c)3 organization seeking to build Carbondale’s first public dog park for the Carbondale Park District which will be located at Parrish Park. Donations are still needed to open this first park. More information can be found at and on Facebook.
