WEST FRANKFORT – Several people were involved in a rollover crash late Wednesday night in Franklin County .
According to Franklin County Sheriff David Bartoni, deputies learned a 2006 Ram pickup driven by a 17-year-old boy was traveling east on South County Line Road when he ran off the right side of the roadway and overturned several times before coming to rest on its top.
The driver and his front seat passenger, 51-year-old Charles Foote of West Frankfort, both fled the scene.
Two passengers, 43-year-old Marocka Greenlee of Kankakee and 21-year-old Sydney Rich of West Frankfort, were both ejected from the vehicle. A fourth passenger, 20-year-old Logan Brymer of West Frankfort, was able to exit the vehicle after the crash.
Greenlee and Rich were both taken to Memorial Hospital in Carbondale with major injuries. Brymer was taken to Herrin Hospital with minor injuries.
The driver was later located at Franklin Hospital in Benton where he sought medical attention for minor injuries. He was cited for Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident, Leaving the Scene of an Injury Accident and Illegal Possession/Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor.
Sheriff Bartoni says Foote has not been located at this time.
