CROSSVILLE – Alcohol played a factor in a single-vehicle crash that injured a Fairfield woman early Friday morning in White County.
According to Illinois State Police, 38-year-old Angel A. Wyatt was driving her vehicle north on South Cross Street south of Fifth Street in Crossville when she failed to negotiate the curve. She left the roadway, struck a fence and then a house in the 200 block of South Cross Street. No one was in the house at the time of the crash.
Wyatt was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Wyatt was arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and was cited for Improper Lane Usage and Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle.
ISP says no further information is available at this time.
