Cutler Man Charged for Having Child Porn

PINCKNEYVILLE – Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul recently announced that a Perry County man was charged with possessing child pornography. The case is part of the Attorney General’s ongoing work to apprehend offenders who download and trade child pornography online.

Forty-year-old Timothy E. Hedrick of Cutler was charged in Perry County Circuit Court with five counts of possession of child pornography, Class 2 felonies punishable by up to three to seven years in prison. Hedrick’s bond is set at $200,000.

Raoul’s investigators, with the assistance of the Perry County Drug Task Force – comprised of the Perry County Sheriff’s office and the Du Quoin and Pinckneyville police departments – conducted a search of a home on Wednesday, March 3, in the 300 block of Center Street in Cutler and arrested Hedrick after discovering evidence of alleged child pornography.

The Attorney General’s office will prosecute the case with Perry County State’s Attorney David H. Searby Jr.’s office.
