CARMI – A Crossville woman was sentenced Wednesday in White County Court to the Illinois Department of Corrections on three felony charges.
According to White County State’s Attorney Denton Aud, 37-year-old Kimberly I. Jones will spend three years in IDOC and serve two years of mandatory supervised release for unlawful use of property – a Class 2 felony, three years in IDOC with one year of mandatory supervised release for possession of methamphetamine – a Class 3 felony and three years in IDOC with one year of mandatory supervised release for defrauding drug screen – a Class 4 felony.
Aud says Jones was on probation for the methamphetamine possession offense from 2020 when she picked up the new charges in March of 2021. Her probation was revoked with a new sentence to the Illinois Department of Corrections being imposed with the other charges resulting in concurrent sentences to the Illinois Department of Corrections.
The White County Sheriff’s Department was the arresting agency on the original methamphetamine charge with the Carmi Police Department the arresting agency on the most recent case.
