MURPHYSBORO – Following approval by FDA and CDC, the Jackson County Health Department in Murphysboro will offer Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine to children age 5-11 years old.
A vaccination clinic only for those ages 5-11 will be held at the Jackson County Health Department on Saturday, Nov. 13 from 8:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Second dose appointments for Dec. 4 can be made on-site after the first dose. Also, beginning Nov. 15, vaccination hours at the health department will expand until to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday to better accommodate children. Other clinics specifically for children will be announced soon.
