VIENNA – Arrowleaf in Vienna will be wrapping up their Child Abuse Prevention Month activities this Friday with a 12-hour event on the square in Vienna.
First responders, human service providers, students, educators, and community members will continuously walk around the Courthouse Square in Vienna for 12 hours, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., to raise awareness about child abuse.
Officials will also be planting a pinwheel garden at 12:45 p.m. to raise awareness for child abuse prevention. The blue pinwheel is the national symbol for child abuse prevention. It symbolizes the belief that all children deserve safe, healthy, and nurturing childhoods. Each April, pinwheel gardens are planted in celebration of Child Abuse Prevention Month.
