Carrier Mills to Hold Toy Drive for Tornado Victims, Emergency Blood Drive

CARRIER MILLS – The Village of Carrier Mills along with the Carrier Mills Fire Department will be holding a toy drive for the children of the recent tornado in Kentucky.

Donations of new toys can be dropped off at Wildcat Package, Carrier Mills Dollar Store and the Carrier Mills Water Office. The water office will be open until 4 p.m. Friday, but the Dollar Store and Wildcat Package will be open all weekend.

New toys should be unwrapped. They will be picked up after 9 a.m. Monday and transported to Kentucky for delivery to the children.

In addition, there is a need for blood. With blood supplies already low, the tornado didn’t help the situation. So Carrier Mills will be hosting an emergency blood drive on Dec. 30 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Carrier Mills Municipal Building located on North Mill Street.
