WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Representative Mike Bost (IL-12) Wednesday voted to require life-saving medical care for babies who survive botched abortion procedures. The Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act passed the House by a 220-210 margin. Bost also voted in support of a resolution condemning recent attacks on pro-life facilities, groups, and churches.

“Protecting babies from infanticide and ensuring that Americans are not attacked because of their beliefs should not be controversial,” said Bost. “These babies fought to survive, and they deserve the same urgent, quality care that any other newborn would receive. It’s that simple. While Washington Democrats continue to push forward with their abortion on-demand agenda by any means necessary, I will continue to stand up for life.”
