Animology’s World of Reptiles at the Rend Lake Visitor Center

BENTON, IL – Join the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Rend Lake on Saturday, August 7th, as they host the scaley creatures of Animology at the Rend Lake Visitor Center. Presented by Wildlife Biologist and “Animal Guy” Bob Tarter, this entertaining program displays animals with special skills and physical features unique to the reptile world. Bob Tarter will teach the audience about the biology of these creatures by demonstration with live reptiles!

“World of Reptiles” will be presented on August 7 at 10 a.m., 12 p.m., and again at 2 p.m. at the Rend Lake Visitor Center. Animology always provides excellent programs that tend to fill up very quickly, so please plan accordingly as seating is limited. As always, the Environmental Science Series programs are free, open to the public, and appropriate for all ages.

The Environmental Science Series will continue August 14th with Kim White, the Natural Naturalist as she presents “Biomimicry,” a live animal show demonstrating nature’s coolest feats to look like someone else!
