2022 Williamson County Election Updates

MARION – The 2022 Primary Election will have some changes with the dates for the Primary Election. 

Normally, the Primary is held in March but due to some legislation changes and redistricting of the maps it will be held on June 28th. Below are some other dates that will affect this election.

January 13, 2022 Petition Circulation

March 7-14, 2022 Petition Filing

April 28, 2022 Last day to file to be a Write-in Candidate

May 19, 2022 Early Voting & Vote by Mail starts

June 23, 2022 Last day to mail a Vote by Mail ballot

June 28, 2022 Primary Election Day

The following offices are up for election and petitions can be picked up in the Williamson County Clerk’s Office beginning January 13th or can be obtained on the county’s website.

Circuit Clerk (2-year term)

County Clerk/Recorder (4-year term)

County Treasurer (4-year term)

County Sheriff (4-year term)

County Commissioner (6-year term)

Precinct Committeeperson (2-year term)

Federal, State and Regional Superintendent of School are offices that are on the ballot, but petitions would need to be obtained from the State Board of Elections.
