MARION – The City of Marion Water Department will start flushing water mains through fire hydrants starting Sept. 28.
According to a post on the City of Marion’s Facebook page, crews will start in the Southwest quadrant of the city first, then Northwest, Northeast, and lastly Southeast. Each quadrant will take two weeks to complete.
The Water Department facility on North Madison Street is the axis of said quadrants.
Residents may experience what looks to be dirty water, but it will be safe and there’s no need to be alarmed. This should go away after a few hours. If it does not, you may contact the Water Department and they will be happy to address the situation.
