SPRINGFIELD – The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) Tuesday announced 1,466 new confirmed cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Illinois, including 20 additional confirmed deaths.
Currently, IDPH is reporting a total of 264,210 cases, including 8,332 deaths, in 102 counties in Illinois. The preliminary seven-day statewide positivity for cases as a percent of total test from Sept. 8–14 is 3.6 percent.
Williamson County reported 19 new confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 Tuesday. They are in isolation.
Franklin County reported seven cases in isolation. Saline County reported six cases – five are in isolation and one case status is in progress.
Jackson County reported five cases while Jefferson County reported four, Massac County reported two and Alexander, Hardin, Pulaski and White counties each reported one case. All are in isolation.
