Herrin Woman Sentenced for Meth Possession

HERRIN – A Herrin woman has been sentenced to two years in the Illinois Department of Corrections after pleading guilty to meth possession – a Class 3 felony – Monday in Williamson County Court.

Williamson County State’s Attorney Brandon Zanotti says on March 3, 2017, while performing a foot patrol at the Pilot truck stop in Marion, a Marion Police officer noticed what appeared to be drug paraphernalia in a parked vehicle. Thirty-four-year-old Stacy K. Manning later approached the vehicle and unlocked the driver’s side door. The officer confirmed it was Manning’s vehicle and performed a search which found meth on her person. Manning has a prior criminal history, including multiple meth-related charges.

Zanotti thanks the Marion Police Department for their great patrolling and investigative efforts.
