BENTON – The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office reports the following incidents that happened on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Deputies responded to a crash around 2:10 Tuesday morning on Creek Nation Blacktop near Zeigler. They arrested 22-year-old Benjamin D. Grubbs of Christopher for driving under the influence and gave him a ticket for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
Deputies also arrested 35-year-old Melissa M. Hayes of Benton Tuesday for failure to appear on driving while license revoked.
Deputies received a call shortly before 3 Tuesday afternoon about an order of protection violation. They arrested 28-year-old Kyle S. Ondo of West Frankfort for violation of an order of protection. He is being held in the Franklin County Jail pending bond by the State’s Attorney’s office.
Deputies arrested 25-year-old Bionca G. Massie of Zeigler around 12:30 Wednesday morning for driving while license suspended and gave her a ticket for operating an uninsured vehicle.
Deputies received a call at 2:40 Wednesday morning regarding a vehicle sitting on the road with its headlights on for an hour. After an investigation, 26-year-old Cody J. Kind of Benton was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and was given a ticket for operating an uninsured vehicle.
